Bruins vs. Blackhawks, Stanley Cup Final Game 2: Bruins look to rebound after triple OT loss in Game 1

A lot of people felt that, the way the goaltenders were playing during the overtime periods in Game 1 of the 2013 Stanley Cup Final, we could still be playing the game right now if they had their druthers. Tuukka Rask of the Boston Bruins and Corey Crawford of the Chicago Blackhawks played one of the most incredible 4-3 games you'll ever seen, both stopping shot after shot after shot. Only a crazy, double deflection to get by Rask could end the game, and give the Blackhawks a 1-0 lead in the series. After the customary two days off (the NHL traditionally plays its Final on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays) the two teams return for Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Final at United Center on Saturday night. The two teams will, hopefully, be fresh and ready to go after nearly playing the equivalent of two consecutive games on Wednesday. Boston and Chicago both took Thursday off and held practices on Friday. This is an important game in the Stanley Cup Final, statistically. Teams winning Game 2 of the Final have gone on to win the Stanley Cup in 55 of 73 years since the best-of-seven format began in 1939 (75.3%), including eight of the past 10 seasons. Also, the all-time record of home clubs sweeping Games 1 and 2 of the Stanley Cup Final is 32-3 (.914). However, two of those three losses happened in the last four years, when Pittsburgh (2009) and Boston (2011) lost the first two games of their series, but rebounded to win a Stanley Cup Sta

Well, this could definitely be a better choice of song for his lady! We were a leeettle worried about Kanye West rapping about getting an abortion for a mistress what with Kim Kardashian and her bun that is now out of the oven, but it seems he might be able to smooth things over with another song on his Yeezus album. In one of his other songs that just leaked, Bound 2 , he seems to be praising his lovely lady and even talking about marriage in their future! Some of the lyrics go: "Close your eyes and let the words paint a thousand pictures / One good girl is worth a thousand bitches." Aww, nothing like being better than a thousand bitches! LOLz! Okay, so it's not exactly sweet nothings that they'll let their little girl listen to, but it's Kanye's version of sweet nothings, and we're sure Kim will appreciate it…in private! And if she's not so fond of those lines, she'll surely be happy to hear the one where he raps: "Maybe we could make it to the church steps." Muuuuch better! Considering he's been dragged into a cheating scandal that he's been quick to deny, it's good to hear he's serious about his baby momma. We think these two will get through the dramz and, hopefully, end up happily ever after with their new baby girl! [ Image via Andres Otero/ WENN .]

The Obama Justice Department lifted a ban on emergency contraception pills for little girls. Now girls younger than 17 can buy their own morning after pills. The Guardian reported: The Obama administration will stop trying to limit sales of emergency contraception pills, making the morning-after pill available to women of all ages without a prescription. The US justice department said in a letter on Monday that it planned to comply with a court’s ruling to allow unrestricted sales of Plan B One-Step and that it would withdraw its appeal on the matter. The move is the latest in a lengthy legal fight over the morning-after pill, which was until recently only available without a prescription to women 17 and older who presented proof of age at a pharmacist’s counter. Plaintiffs in a federal lawsuit against the FDA said the limit unfairly kept women and girls from accessing the drug, which is most effective when taken within 72 hours of intercourse. On 5 April US district Judge Edward Korman said the US Food and Drug Administration had been “arbitrary, capricious and unreasonable” in rejecting a citizen petition to make emergency contraception available over the counter to girls of all ages. Korman ordered the FDA to make emergency contraception available without age and point-of-sale restrictions but said the agency could lift restrictions on only the one-pill version of the drug, Plan B One-Step, if the FDA believed there was a sign

U.S. stocks are gaining in early trading with the SPDR S&P 500 (SPY) up 0.2% Thursday morning. Overnight, it was all about Japan, with the Nikkei 225 tumbling another 5.15% after last Thursday’s drop of more than 7%. Although the Nikkei is still up more than 30% year-to-date, last night’s pullback made it a 14.75% correction from the highs. Big bullish interest after Japan’s close, however, tells a different story. Nikkei futures surged more than 400 points based on reports that Japanese pension funds may now be able to invest money into equity markets rather than just Japanese government bonds On the S&P 500, a break and close below 1635 could take us back to the 50-day moving average for the second time this year, which would represent a healthy 5% correction. Resistance is 1656, then 1674. The financials (XLF) held the 8-day while most other sectors tested the 21-day twice. Goldman Sachs (NYSE:GS) acts very well. It’s above its 8-day and if it clears $ 164.50 it could go again. JPMorgan (NYSE:JPM) also acts very well. It’s above $ 55ish and could extend. Bank of America (NYSE:BAC) could make a move to new highs if it can get above $ 13.55. In technology, Google (NASDAQ:GOOG) triggered potential high level stops around $ 908 as the upper flag broke. Now it’s struggling to hold its 21-day MA. If it can’t get back above $ 870ish with authority, it could see its 50-day or the prior high around $ 844. Netflix (NASDAQ:NFLX) is getting cho
