Senator James Inhofe (R-OK) procured a significant amount of ink this week by raising the specter of impeachment, but even President Obama ‘s most vociferous critic on the issue of Benghazi is saying that the “i-word” should not apply here . On Sunday morning’s State of the Union , Senator Susan Collins joined Senator John McCain in pushing back on Inhofe’s suggestion. Host Candy Crowley asked if ” the impeachment word should come up,” to which Collins replied, “I don’t, at this point.” Sen. Inhofe said, of the much-hyped Benghazi hearings and leaked emails, that “We may be using the ‘i-word’ before long.” Crowley played a clip of Inhofe’s remarks, and asked Collins, “Do you see something in Benghazi, either in the handling before, during, or after with the talking points that were scrubbed, that the ‘i-word,’ the impeachment word should come up?” “I don’t, at this point, I will say,” Sen. Collins replied, but didn’t leave it there. “That doesn’t mean that these allegations aren’t serious,” she continued. “Joe Lieberman and I did a preliminary investigation into the events into the attacks on Benghazi last fall, and we had a career CIA agent, who was the woman who first drafted the very first talking points, tell us that there was no national security reason for the line about the links to al Qaeda to have been dropped from the talking points. So clearly, politics was at play here.” “If that is so,” Crowley said, “is it not a cov

Theoretically, sports should be one of the safer gigs in video games today. These are series that come out every year, they're usually reliable sellers, the publishers have sunk a lot of money into a license, and often they're the only ones holding it. It isn't like taking a risk on a new concept that fails to catch on. But EA Sports wasn't spared the pain and uncertainty of the across-the-board

Intriguing footage has emerged from the end of Real Madrid’s quarter-final second leg at Galatasaray. Just like the rest of Europe, Real Madrid stars Ronaldo and Pepe were trying to keep up with the dramatic events that saw Borussie Dortmund beat Malaga with two injury time goals. Ronaldo appears to look up at a scoreboard that presumably says 2-2 but he hears from Pepe that a third has gone in (“Tercero”) to eliminate Malaga. Luka Modric seems simply intent on holding Ronaldo’s arm during these discussions as the Real Madrid players discuss which side went through…

AP This combination photos shows, left, Amy Berti, in a photo taken by her husband, Joe Bertie in Boston, on Sunday, April 14, 2013, and right, an Associated Press file photo that shows Amy Berti, center, in the same coat, running from the first explosion at the finish line of the Boston Marathon on Monday, April 15, 2013. By Amy Forliti, The Associated Press People keep asking Joe Berti if he feels unlucky. A bomb exploded at the finish line of the Boston Marathon seconds after Berti finished the race. Two days later, he was in his home state of Texas when he saw a fertilizer plant explode near Waco. Follow @NBCNewsUS "I was just like, 'I can't believe this!'" said Berti, who said he had never witnessed an explosion before. Then he thought: "I just want to get out of here and get away from all these explosions." But Berti, as it turns out, is far from unlucky. Instead, he feels fortunate. He left both tragedies unscathed, while members of his running group and his wife — who was closer to the Boston explosion than he was — were also unhurt. "It's a miracle," he said in an interview with The Associated Press on Thursday. "People keep saying, 'Don't you feel unlucky?' and I was actually the opposite — saying not only do I not feel unlucky, but I feel blessed that my wife could be 10 yards from the explosion and not have a scratch." The bombings in Boston, which happened about 10 seconds apart at the finish line of Monday's maratho

MENLO PARK, CA – APRIL 04: A Facebook employee holds a phone that is running the new 'Home' program during an event at Facebook headquarters during an event at Facebook headquarters on April 4, 2013 in Menlo Park, California. Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced a new product for Android called Facebook Home as well as the new HTC First phone that will feature the new software. (Image credit: Getty Images via @daylife) When he unveiled Facebook Home on Thursday, Mark Zuckerberg talked several times about a big problem with smartphones: They should be “designed around people, not apps.” The answer was his new launcher for Android, an interface that brought users deeper into the Facebook universe, allowing them to chat with Facebook friends while running apps and receiving notifications on a Facebook home screen. The idea of a launcher is nothing new. There are dozens of them available for Android already, with Nova, GoLauncher and Chameleon among the more popular offerings. But something else wasn’t new: the idea of a people-centric interface, which Microsoft now claims came straight out of the same book as Windows Phone. Microsoft‘s head of corporate communications, Frank X. Shaw, put up an acerbic blog post Friday complaining that Facebook Home had all the same socially-focused features of Windows Phone: “I tuned into the coverage of the Facebook Home event yesterday and actually had to check my calendar a few times. Click here to subscribe to KFC Radio on iTunes Click here to subscribe to KFC Radio on YouTube So this week we tried and a new thing where we took live calls on the show. Just figured we’d get the usual degenerate Stoolies that are near and dear to all of our hearts. WRONG. We basically hit every demographic with our FIRST caller. A black, hispanic jew that is also in the Marines. All we needed was for him to be handicapped and gay and we would have hit it all. Anyway, the other voicemail that stuck out on this show was the guy that called asking what our 1 talent would be in a talent show and then finished his VM by saying my one talent would be shitting my pants. And after my initial shock and defensiveness wore off I realized something. I literally have ZERO talents. None. There is nothing I do in life that is exceptional. Everything is average. I suck at a lot of things, I can do some things ok, and that’s it. Except of course being an adult who poops himself, so I guess he was right, that is my one talent, and also the reason why no one in my family speaks to me anymore. But I guess I need to own it now. That’s my legacy. People see me around town and they’ll say, there goes Big Cat, average guy, phenomenal pants shitter. Want to get on the show? Call the Barstool Hotline 646-80-STOOL (646-807-8665) to leave a voicemail for next week, or tune in at 8pm on Wednesday and join the hangout and appear on the show live. Foll

Microsoft confirms that it was also cyberattacked

Another day, another company announcing that it was attacked. So goes it for Microsoft , which has confirmed shortly after Facebook and Apple were attacked that it likewise was targeted. The information comes from the Microsoft Security Response Center team over on TechNet, which says that it did not make this information known sooner because it was gathering data about the attack. Microsoft says that the attacks were similar to those experienced by Facebook and Apple. While investigating the issue, Microsoft found that “a small number” of computers, which it says included some in its Mac business unit, had been infected by malware. The investigation is still underway, but thus far the company reports that it doesn’t appear customer information was messed with. Microsoft says that the attack does not surprise it, with such activities being a common occurrence, something it is forced to deal with frequently. Because of this, the company says that it regularly re-evaluates its security, taking on additional personnel, processes, and technology when needed to keep such cyberattacks at bay. This week and last, both Facebook and Apple were targeted by a zero-day Java exploit, with Facebook saying that no customer information was compromised, and with Apple reporting that a “small number” of computers had been affected. Twitter was also attacked not too long ago, announcing that as many as 250,000 accounts could have been compromised.

Obama Makes Case For Curbing Carbon Pollution From Existing Power Plants, Also Vows To Use ‘Bully Pulpit’

The President has (finally) been talking hawkish on climate. Turns out he now realizes that is part of his job! (Duh?) In his second inaugural address, Obama said failing to respond to the threat of climate change “would betray our children and future generations.” In his State of the Union, Obama vowed to take executive action if Congress fails to pass a climate bill. The most important action he can take without further Congressional approval is restricting emissions from existing coal-fired power plants using his authority under the Clean Air Act. While he didn’t announce specific plans for such regulations in the SOTU, he did make the case for them during a recent Google+ hangout: “ The truth is if you produce power using old power plants, you’re going to be emitting more carbon — but to upgrade those plants, energy’s going to be a little bit more expensive, at least on the front end . At the core, we have to do something that’s really difficult for any society to do, and that is to take actions now where the benefits are coming down the road, or at least we’re avoiding big problems down the road,” Watch it: During the online video chat, he also said that speaking out on climate change is part of his job: “ Part of my job is to use the bully pulpit to help raise people’s awareness , because if the public cares about it, eventually Congress acts. If the public doesn’t care about it, it’s very hard to get big stuff done because
