Stanley Cup Playoffs 2013, Sharks vs. Kings Game 2: Time, TV schedule and more

The San Jose Sharks were by no means bad in Game 1. In fact, they controlled a lot of the possession on Tuesday night, and outshot the Los Angeles Kings, 35-20. They ran into a familiar brick wall by the name of Jonathan Quick, however, who shut them out by a count of 2-0 . It was the way the Kings were able to win games last year: timely scoring from different heroes every night, great goaltending, and solid physical play (39 hits from LA on Tuesday). It all looked awfully familiar. The two teams meet again on Thursday night for Game 2 of their Western Conference Semifinal series. The Sharks will likely have one lineup change, as Raffi Torres is expected to be suspended for his hit to the head of Jarret Stoll , who is also likely to miss Game 2. Torres played a lot of key minutes in Game 1 on a line with Logan Couture and Patrick Marleau, so while he may not be missed significantly, there are minutes that will need to be filled with two key Sharks now that he's gone. The Kings are probably fine with the way things are going. They've won five of their first seven playoff games, including five straight. Mike Richards has a point per game, yet no other player has more than four. Quick continues to be amazing in net during the postseason. They'll take that formula for as long as it works. For the Sharks, however, it's time for their often streaky offense to hit its stride again. Will Antti Niemi rebound from a merely average Game 1?

Obama Doesn’t Need Special Prosecutor for IRS, GOP Wants More Benghazi Docs, Your Children Shall Inherit the War on Terror: P.M. Links

In a rain-drizzled press conference today, President Barack Obama said there’s no need for a special prosecutor to investigate the IRS targeting conservative nonprofits. He’s just that angry that he will make certain that those who target his political enemies are appropriately punished. The president also named senior budget aide Daniel I. Werfel as the new acting commissioner for the IRS. The White House may have dumped 100 pages of e-mails about the administration’s carefully crafted responses to the Benghazi attack , but Republicans want even more. At a Senate hearing today, a Pentagon official said it will take another decade or two to defeat al Qaeda , so our children will be inheriting more than our massive financial debt and unsustainable entitlement programs. In the Gaza Strip, with its tightly restricted access, an entrepreneur has created a thriving business smuggling in buckets of KFC . A bit lost in yesterday’s lengthy hearings: Attorney General Eric Holder announced some vague support for requiring warrants for the government to access people’s private e-mails. Perhaps an evolution in position, but I would expect enough exceptions to make any laws toothless. Marijuana might be useful in fighting diabetes . Somebody tell Michelle Obama. Yesterday, Steve Hayes revealed that “several more” Benghazi whistle-blowers were considering coming forward, including CIA officials. FOX News reporter James Rosen reported back in April that a CIA official was ready to testify on the Benghazi scandal. Also yesterday… Joseph diGenova , attorney for Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Counterterrorism Mark Thompson who testified before a Congressional committee this past week, says he has more whistle-blowers who want to testify including CIA officials. The Blaze reported: The attorney for one of the Benghazi whistleblowers told TheBlaze Radio that he has more people who want to come forward to testify. Joseph diGenova, attorney for acting Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Counterterrorism Mark Thompson, did not specify how many new witnesses there were, but said they had been “on the ground” and “in the fight” during the September assault that left four Americans dead. Thompson was one of three whistleblowers who went before the House Oversight Committee on Wednesday. “We’ve been contacted by some people on the ground who were there, who were in the fight, who want to come forward but who fear if they do they will never get contract work with the agency again,” diGenova told TheBlaze Radio host Jay Severin on Thursday. “We are going to test the director of central intelligence’s word [that those who testify will not be penalized]. If these people decide they want to co
