We all already know that President Barack Hussein Obama never, ever, nevernay calls anything an “act of terror,” because he obviously hates white people, but at a press conference on the Boston Marathon bombings Monday evening, that unreasonable phobia of talking out of your ass made the jump to F.B.I. Special Agent In Charge Rick DesLauriers , who avoided the phrase like he was The Fonz trying to apologize. While DesLauriers admitted that the attack would be investigated through the Boston Joint Terrorism Task Force, he repeatedly referred to the bombing as a”crime,” and would only allow that “it is a criminal investigation that has the potential – that is a potential terrorist investigation.” Sure, he threw in a bunch of “blah, blah, blah” about gathering “facts” and “information,” but he refused to call it an act of terror ! Everybody freak out ! By “freak out,” of course, I mean try a tall, icy carafe of Shut The F**k Up With Lemon™. The right wing in this country has an obsession with racing to be the first one to declare something an “act of terror,” and to call President Obama out for not doing so. Watch for the kaboom…… there are now reports that a solid majority of Cypriot Parlimentarians are refusing to go along with the confiscation demand for depositor funds. There could be a very ugly showdown coming here as without enabling legislation there is a good chance that the locking of people's accounts could be considered theft by conversion and given the amounts involved this is not a petty offense! I suspect , but cannot prove, that the reason for the IMF and ECB demand is that the ECB and other "protected" parties are the holders of the bonds in these banks, and had an orderly resolution process been carried out (or for that matter a disorderly bankruptcy) the result would have been a wipe-out of these institutions' holdings. Rather than accept that, having willfully and intentionally looked the other way and accepted those bonds as collateral despite knowing they were worthless they attempted to steal the funds from the people to cover it. If the Parliament says "nuts!" to that and decides to stand firm then we shall see if the ECB makes good on its threats and forces bankruptcy proceedings — and whether the people of Cyprus decide in turn that they've had enough of this crap and start issuing Letters of Marque and Reprisal against Herr Merkel, Christine Lagarde, Mario Draghi and the rest of their institutions. It's about damn time someone stood up to these jackals. Stand by to receive our transmission!

As we reported yesterday , X Factor judge Tulisa is dating Newcastle footballer Danny Simpson, having dumped former Shameless star Jody Latham. However, in today’s Sun, she’s been branded a heartless “home wrecker” by Simpson’s former girlfriend Stephanie Ward, who is three months pregnant with Simpson’s child. The couple already have one child. In an interview with the paper, Ward claims that Simpson never actually ended their relationship, and until she read reports in the tabloids about him dating Tulisa, she had no idea they were no longer a couple. The nature of cable news is such that a certain number of fallacious talking points are ignored, like insect parts in peanut butter, simply in the interest of time. Every now and then, though, one gets stuck in the filter , and cleared out by a fed-up host. That’s what happened on Friday night’s Hardball , when MSNBC contributor and former RNC Chairman Michael Steele casually remarked that the Republicans are a “center right party, very much like the country,” and host Chris Matthews spent most of the segment pushing back against that common, and false, notion, repeatedly reminding Chairman Steele that “Obama won.” The segment was pegged to Sen. Jim DeMint’s (R-SC) departure from the senate for the greener, red-meatier pastures of The Heritage Foundation, but was sidetracked when Matthews asked Chairman Steele how he would “umpire” the conflict between more establishment Republicans, and Tea Party ideologues like Sen. DeMint. “I would remind them we’re a center right party, very much like the country,” Steele replied. “I don’t agree with that,” Matthews declared, abruptly. “The country is center right,” Chairman Steele repeated. “They just voted for Obama. “Center left,” chimed in fellow contributor Joy Reid . “That’s another show,” Steele answered smoothly, trying tp pivot. “We’ll have that conversation.
