Shark Meat Sausage in Turkey

Video uploaded by canlialemnet on 20. December 2012 : Sucuk is a dry, spicy sausage that is very popular in Turkey. It usually consists of ground meat (beef). But in last December, the owner of a fish restaurant in Bursa city had the idea to use shark meat as an ingredient for this traditional Turkish sausage. The shark in question is a bluntnose sixgill shark that had been caught off Canakkale in late November. It’s the Specimen No. 12 in our post about recent noteworthy Shark Records from the Mediterranean Sea ( see HERE ). In the local media, the restaurant owner claims that shark meat is very healthy and „good against cancer“. He also says that he has already received several orders for his shark sausage, despite the expensive price.

The Australian Great white shark to be killed by order written by Nicolas Perpitch Wednesday January 9, 2013 WEST Australian Fisheries officers are determined to catch and kill a great white shark suspected of having established itself at unpatrolled swimming beaches along the southwest coast since Christmas. Fisheries staff in two boats have this week set baited lines for the 3-4m shark under a standing order from Fisheries Minister Norman Moore to kill any shark that poses an "imminent threat". If they succeed, it would be the first government-ordered shark kill since the Barnett government introduced the "imminent threat" guidelines last year in response to five fatal shark attacks in just 10 months. The Fisheries Department made the decision on Sunday because it believes repeated shark sightings in the southwest since Christmas are in fact just one shark. There have been sightings close to shore almost every day for the past 10 days around Quindalup and Meelup beaches, Eagle Bay and Bunker Bay in the Dunsborough-Cape Naturaliste area, 250km south of Perth. Baited lines have been set for sharks twice before by fisheries officers — once after the death of diver Peter Kurmann, 33, near the southern town of Bunbury in April, and after American George Thomas Wainwright, 32, was killed by a shark while scuba diving off Rottnest Island in 2011. Oh sure… Those NASCAR voters sure love that redistribution and weak foreign policy. Of course they support Obama – that’s why they’re buying all those guns… Because they’re so excited about an Obama second term. ( Jalopnik ) Yahoo and Zogby jumped the shark today. Their latest lie is that NASCAR voters support Obama over Mitt Romney. Mitt Romney’s recent slide in several polls, including those in the battleground states of Ohio, Virginia and Florida, is troubling enough for the GOP. But, now the Republican nominee appears to be trailing President Barack Obama among a traditionally conservative constituency: NASCAR fans. Obama leads Romney 49 to 42 percent among NASCAR enthusiasts, according to a new Zogby poll and JZ Analytics . As the liberal blog PoliticusUSA.com pointed out, Romney was booed at the Daytona 500 in February during a campaign trip ahead of Super Tuesday. And you wonder why they say media bias is at an all-time high this year?

Sorvino, Scalia, and Fatone (playing himself) are really just the supporting cast. William Atherton and Paulie Walnuts sneak in there too. The real heroes of the movie are The Complication, Nooki, and other Jersey Shore-type meatheads. You see, THEY are the only ones who can kill the shark. Maybe the shark is allergic to tannng lotion. Another plus, it's Seaside Heights NJ. I go there all the time. Could be awesome. Moving to top of rental queue.

San Jose Sharks forward Tommy Wingels will march in the Chicago Gay Pride Parade this Sunday, Outsports has learned. He’ll be representing the You Can Play project , of which he is an ardent supporter. Check out his fantastic YCP video below. This is the second year NHL players have marched in the parade, following the Chicago Blackhawks two years ago. We’ll report more on this story as we receive it.
